Another week another euro?

WOW goodness I've got just a few minutes to speed type. I don't have my full hour because we had a super cool opportunity today to go to this zoo called the Apenheul - it's mostly monkeys! It was suuuuuuper cool. :) We saw lots of monkeys! Also, we went with our district, which is always a blast. . I attached a picture! The other girl with us is a member in Zwolle. She's named Segijna (no idea how to spell that really) and she's SUPER cool. She speaks American because she went to Philly on her mission!

*My bike got STOLEN last week. Really truly. Super sad. I think that was last Monday? But it's whatever, I'm getting another one from a member in Zwolle who's super nice. I'm actually more bummed about my fietstas (bike bag) than the bike itself, I think.... That thing could hold the world. I'm borrowing opa's until I get my new bike.  It was bound to happen sometime!

Belgium in comparison with the Netherlands is stinky and more French. So.... I prefer the Netherlands to the parts of Belgium I've experienced.

Lastly, I've got a spiritual thought here. I had the opportunity to give a little talk on Virtue in district meeting today. In my studies for the talk, I realized that to me, virtue is giving up our will to for the Lord's. If we have righteous desires, those come from Christ, not from within us, because the natural man is an enemy to God. So how important to not only to do what the Lord wants, but also to want the things that He wants for us, and to think them! I highly recommend reading 2 Nephi 2:27-35 with that in mind. Nephi is an incredible example of virtue.

Wellllll until next week, homies. I love you all. :)

You may look like a missionary but you will never bring your family honor

The subject line was said by me, quoting Mulan, on like, Wednesday, when I was feeling like I needed to work harder. Also, I was feeling silly. Ha.

The work is going along wonderfully out here. :) We had our very first investigator go to church yesterday! Her name is J  and she's from Liberia. She LOVED IT. She asked if she could come more. Uhhhhh YES :)

I've been so humbled in the last week. Well... I've had humbling experiences. Working on the humbled part still. Nothing like a mission to make you feel that it's a great thing you have eternity to get better cos you sure need it. Haha. :)

Ummm... So sorry. But that's all I have time for. :(
Love you all SO MUCH. Don't ever forget that

Also, ik heb een uitdaging voor jullie: Get some copies of Preach My Gospel, and study one Christlike attribute from chapter six every week. It does WONDERS.

Love you so much.

Allll right, iedereen! It's time for a Tuesday session of "Sister Anjewierden rambles about her week!" I must say, this'll be so much easier in person next fall. SO MUCH.

Wow, I can't believe it's August. I thought it was just March? Wasn't it? And right before that it was October, and President Monson was announcing the age change, and... I've been out for almost 5 months. Whoa

I really feel like since I've been out, there's been more talk of missionary work. There's always a lot, but I really feel like there's been even more. I know that the Lord is hastening His work. I´m SO excited about it, too. I just want all these unhappy people out here to know that they can be happy! Speaking of which, we had an appointment today with a JoVo (YSA).  The Elders from Apeldoorn talked to him about six months ago and so I guess he came and talked to oma and opa the other day because he felt like he needed to. They called us and we set up an appointment with him. The guy has DEEP questions about life. Super deep. It was a hard lesson, because they were hard questions to answer even in English and I had to do it in Dutch, but it was so NEAT. We have another lesson with him on Thursday. I ended up just telling him at the end that we can answer his questions and talk at him til we're red in the face, but unless he comes to know the truth for himself, it doesn't really matter. He agreed. We're teaching him the first lesson on Thursday. :) I'm so excited! We just need a joint teach...

Please watch the new Mormon Message for Youth! It's called A Secure Anchor. So good. :)

And just a little thought here - people often accuse us of "blind faith". I'm realizing out here that doesn't have to even be a thing. Do what's right because you want to. Make the choice to be happy and to obey the commandments because you realize it will bring you more happiness. Do it because you love God and you know He loves you. You will be so blessed - I promise. Peter 3:15. Hope is not unsure.

Well, I've gotta go, but I sure love you all. :)

I don't think we're in Kansas anymore...

Opening and training... It's super humbling, lemme tell ya. Opening is super different than what I'd gotten used to - Dordrecht had been open for yeeeeears. So. We're almost two weeks into the transfer and were blessed to be able to set an appointment with a guy yesterday - he'll be our first investigator here! He's suuuuper positive. The man'll get baptized, no doubts here. :) Whether it's while I'm here or someone else is!

Well, I hope everyone is doing well! I have so much respect for each one of you - really. Just remember, it's all about the work! :)

Alma 26:27... Yup.

Sorry, wish I could write more, but I'm just about out of time... Next week. Promise.
