Goedemorgen!

Hallo all!

SUPER quick update because I'm running out of TIME and this is the last chance I have to say last minute things to people that I have to say before leaving the country!!!

-I have a cold

-BYU Mens Chorus sang for us for devotional on Sunday night. It made my life.

-You can watch Mormon.org videos during additional study or mission portal time... I may or may not have watched the Brandon Flowers one mostly so that I could hear "Crossfire" playing in the background... I'm going through withdrawals. Haha. I sing Ingrid Michaelson and The Staves and Death Cab for Cutie and Coldplay in the shower. Oh, and shower choirs are the greatest thing of my life. Just saying.

-I can't believe I'm so close to being done! 3 more days!

-I will miss my zone SO MUCH. I'm getting all of everyone's information. Yeah. For serious. We're super tight.... It's awesome. :)

-I keep trying to not think about the fact that 1- I won't see my teachers after this week and 2- I won't see the people I'm with (the two Dutch districts) all the time after we split up on Tuesday... :( I'm so excited for it all but it's so bittersweet!

-I'll do a full MTC advice email next week for people coming in (Monica Baer, this is for you ;) ). I'm writing it on the plane. It's going to be awesome. But just know this now - the MTC is so awesome. If you want to love it, you'll love it. And actually... I'd have to try really hard to hate it here. It's marvelous.

-Megan Squire, I need you in my life. You should email me. :) Also... Pretty much everyone that is reading this. Haha. Letters/emails/DearElders are the greatest ever.

-DearElders must be sent today or tomorrow (anytime), or Saturday before noon to get to me before I leave! They'll shred any that are sent after I leave, so just email me or write me snail mail-wise otherwise.

LOVE YOU ALL

Ay mon, kop me een soft!

So I didn't get to finish last week... And the week before that apparently couldn't get through due to pictures... So here is last week, AND the week before, and this week. Email-ception.

Week 3

"The title of this means "Yeah man, buy me a soda!" in Sranam Tongo (Suriname Tongue), and I wish I could post a recording because it's hilarious. Two of our teachers went to Suriname and they're awesome!

Ummm... I kinda ran out of time. List again! I think I'll write this completely out next week so that it's just done and I can type it and not think...

Zuster Hudson and I got called as Coordinating Sisters for our Branch! That means we work with the Zone Leaders and Branch President and we keep the sisters in line (aka we love them to death because they're amazing).
Nederlands is moeilijk, but heel fantastis! Ik hou van het! Mijn is pretty all right. Ik sprek weel Neder-Engels. :)

Go look up The Character of Christ by Elder David Bednar! It was amazing! We watched it Sunday night.

Sheri Dew and Bishop Causse came on Sunday for Easter! It was so super wonderful! :)

Scriptures of the week - Moses 6:32 and Ether 12:12. Look em up,  they helped me so much this week!

We have SO much Easter food. I have a drawerful, and the other girls have a ton too... Haha it's bad!

I'm super psyched for General Conference! Truth! I hope you all are too! :)

AHHHH okay gotta be done. Love you all. Have some pictures."

And now week 4!

"Let it be known to all...

I LOVE GENERAL CONFERENCE! AHHH.

It was so good. :) It's pretty much an MTC holiday. You just kinda wake up and eat and go to conference and eat and go to conference and eat and go to conference! Yayyyyy. :) It was such a wonderful weekend. My favorite talk was probably President Packer's in the first session... But it's so hard to pick a favorite. Oh, and I cried when the YW presidency got released. They were wonderful! I know the new presidency will be wonderful too, but this was my presidency! Haha.

Okay, so, quickly -

Vocal Point came for our devotional after conference! It was so great! They were awesome.

Ik hou van het Nederlands (Dutch - I know I'll love de Nederland also but I'm not there yet!) Het einde.

I have a temporary companion! Her name is Sister Shayla Peterson. She is going to Denmark - her distrct was temporarily reassigned to Nashville, and they left Monday, but she had to stay cos she has mono. It's sad! But she's a super trooper! She ahs the greatest attitude. Also, the doctor cleared her today (the 11th), so she leaves whenever she leaves!

Elder Gerald N. Lund (who wrote The Work and the Glory series) came for Tuesday devortional! It was wonderful! He spoke on revelation. I absolutely needed it.

There was a bat ouside our room on like Tuesday night! It was kind of fun, actually, except it was after quiet hours, and there was lot of singing. Pff, cmon sisters. It's tiny. And cute.

I auditioned to do a musical number today with Zuster Wood from my district, who's amazing at the piano! We're in the "yes pile" - we'll see what that means. If hnothing else, it was wonderful to practice with her! I miss inging just to sing!

2.5 weeks left to go, folks.

ROMANS 5:6-8!"

OKAY THIS WEEK (5) -

SUPER quick so I can write a nice long email to my family...

I cannot believe we're so close to leaving. I've had friends come and go while I've been here but I feel like I just got here, seriously!

We had the amazing opportunity to hear from Elder Scott on Tuesday! It was super awesome. He spoke on revelation and prayer - communication with Heavenly Father. It was so wonderful, and again, I really needed it! I realized that I really need to rely more on prayer. Also, I KNOW that he was called of God. He is truly an apostle of Jesus Christ. What an incredible man.

We have started to speak Dutch all the time. It's SO HARD but so worth it. I can already tell I'm getting better.

Sister Peterson is hopefully leaving today or tomorrow! She's no longer our companion - a new group of Danish came in so she's with them. It's been a long process and she's super frustrated (for good reason) BUT she gets travel plans today.

I LOVE MY ZONE. I want to know all of these wonderful people forever. Hooray for the internet, and writing things down!

I think that's pretty much it.... Oh except we used Ghostbuster vacuums for service day. Truth.

ALMA 29:1-4 (Sometimes I feel like this. But not close to as selfless as he is. Because seriously... Read the whole chapter.)

MINDEN/JAMES AND MAGGI I need you to write me or email me or something. Haha. I miss you! If you are reading this... My email is kira.anjewierden@myldsmail.net. Or my address is over in the sidebar. Tyler, if you're reading this, you should tell them. Also, expect a letter like tomorrow or Saturday.

Also, my lovely Mariah Latu... You gave me quite a scare... Haha. I'll send you a letter soon!

I'll try to do MTC advice next week.... I have a lot of it. Many things to know about this wondrous place.

SO MUCH LOVE!
