Hello everyone!
This is gonna be a short one... I planned badly. Bad trainer aghhhh!
I hope that everyone's week went well! Mine did! Just crazy. And a little sad and a little different and a little nervewracking and maybe even a little scary and a little stressful (okay a lot) and plenty happy and mostly crazy!
It's still a little crazy to think that I see Oma and Opa  almost every day now, and that we're ACROSS THE WORLD. What?!
Sister Thorley is the bomb.com. :) I miss Sister Elting, of course (A LOT, she and I are preeeetty much best friends), but I sure love Sister Thorley. I'm trying really hard to be a good trainer but so far I've been really impatient and really... I dunno. I just need to be better! I'm working on it. :)
Deventer is beautiful. It's really difficult to come into an area and start the work up... M (investigator from China), S's friend that Oma talked about, was just a blessing from above, really. We're super grateful that S invited her. She's still our only investigator, and she's marvelous. :) We have a lesson with her in just a bit, actually!
Here is Schniu (Kira's gnome traveling companion) by a windmill in 'S-gravendeel (in Dordrecht area). Isn't that awesome?

Also, please pray that I'll have the courage to find people. I sure lose a lot of confidence when someone tells me they're not interested or don't have time, and often I just give up on the contact... The Lord wouldn't!! AGH.
Love you all. Wish I could say more, but...
LOVE

DEVENTER!
That´s right folks. I´m training in Deventer this transfer ´round. :)
When the phone rang last night, I knew it. I just did. My heart leaped for joy and sank all at the same time though, because this also means that I have to leave Dordrecht... And Sister Elting. She and I are quite the pair. She´s like my favorite person. Seriously. We´re super similar, but different enough to keep things exciting. Also, she´s hilarious. And I´m hilarious. So. Yeah. For instance, we´re gonna write a musical. A Missionary musical. That´s real. Also, more seriously, we were just starting to reaaally figure out the working in unity thing. Fortunately, we´ll both be here for a while longer, and there´s a chance we can be companions again. I put it in the Lord´s hands. But I just may pray for it... Haha.

Well in other news, Redemption Week this week was incredible! We learned so much. Like about prayer! Blessings? Heavenly Father´s already willing to give them to us. WE JUST HAVE TO ASK. That was such a huge revelation for me- I´d not ever thought about it that way. But it´s true! Don´t forget to talk to Heavenly Father like he´s your dad. Don´t just ask Him for stuff, thank Him for stuff. And tell Him stuff! He wants to hear from you!

There were so many miracles this week that I don´t even know what to share. Here´s one - The only girl I contacted this week (yeah, it´s super bad) was from Russia and she knew about the church! Elders there taught her English. She asked if we could teach her Dutch! UM YES. It was amaaaazing. We got her number, and she didn´t come to church yesterday, but hopefully we can set something up with her soon.

We had a Stake Barbeque last Saturday for Pioneer Day. That was fun! We were super late ´cos we figured we should be out doing work first, but then we wished we´d gone earlier because we were able to talk to some non-members and that was super neat. Also, I felt like I was in Utah for like... Half an hour. It would´ve been more but for the rest of the time we were talking to people in Dutch... That´s not so American-feeling. We talked to these like 12ish-year-old girls as we walked back to the train afterward and they thought it was SO cool that we were from America, and that is was gezellig that we were roommates. Haha. It´s fun to talk to the kids here. :)

Well... As usual, there´s not a ton of time, but I hope all is well there! Keep cool in that heat wave I keep hearing about! (it´s like 90° F even though it feels like a million with the humidity, so I don´t envy you Utahns). LOVE!

BWAHHHHHHHH

Due to a few bad planning decisions, we're in the library 15 minutes before it has to close, only having had 15 minutes to email thus far. And I need to email my family and mission president. So. Um. We're doing well, if SUPER missing Sister Townsend. Figuring things out with each other... Trying to help our ward... And preaching the gospel in alles! Onward. Your prayers are appreciated! Thanks everyone for your support. :)

Oh Say Can You See?

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULYYYYYYYYYYYYY! :) Hope it was lovely for all.

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to rotate this picture. So... Have an awkward sideways picture of me at the Atomium, a crazy building from the 1958(I think? If I remember right) Brussels World's Fair. :) It's super cool! And weird. But cool!
Yes, I did also see Manneken Pis, the statue of the little boy peeing... Reeeeal classy, Brussels. But it's like 400 years old so I guess that part is cool.
And I'd have a picture of me eating a legitimate Belgian waffle, but it was literally so delicious that I didn't want to get my camera out. So... Sorry. But... Not really! Haha. SO GOOD. If you ever have a chance... Probeer maar! (try please!)
I was in Belgium for legality reasons - we had to "sign in" in order to get our Belgian legality cards.

I don't have a ton of time, but I just want to share a little spiritual message with y'all quickly.
My lovely trainer, Sister Townsend, left us today, but first, she said this -

"People know the gospel is true, they just don't know it's the gospel."

Think about that one for awhile, eh? Your friends all have a testimony, somewhere buried... Just share something with em. Just try. :)

Love!

BAHHH

K y'all. I literally have like... 4 minutes or something. Dus (so)... This'll be fast.

We've decided we're going to focus a bunch in the coming weeks on inactive members! Our ward has 150ish members, with 46 active. Ouch. We have a TON of work to do.

I'm going to Belgium on Wednesday to do legality stuff! I'm stoked out of my mind. Missionary road trip!

We're looking for new investigators. Lots of people are being flauw (uhh... hm. Doesn't really translate. Wishy-washy I guess?), so we're trying to find people who will actually progress toward baptism! Our mission standard is 3-5 progressors, and there are at LEAST that many people in Dordrecht who have that potential!

Miracles will happen here. :) Just gotta work work work!

Love ya all!
